Whether an ex-army officer become a guarantor against Education Loan for B.Tech aspirant?
Sir, my parents are dead and I live with my grandfather. He is an ex-army officer. He got pension but he doesn’t have an IT File. But he has a Bank Account. I want to get education loan of Rs. 7.5 Lacs for doing B.Tech in IIT. Now, question is, my grandfather become guarantor or not?

According to me, your grandfather who is an ex-army officer can become guarantor for your education loan of amount Rs. 7.5 Lakh.
Documents required to take education loan are:- Complete application form 2 Passport size photographs Letter of admission from the university Documents on the cost of studies PAN card of the candidate Proof of Identity Proof of residence Student/ co-borrower/ guarantor’s bank account statement for the last six months Statement of assets and liabilities of students/ co-borrower/ guarantor Student/ co-borrower/ guarantor’s proof of income |
