I believe that your choice of doing Diploma after 10th is a good one....But I think that since you are in 10th class, therefore you first need to focus on your 12th board exams..... Doing a Diploma in Engineering branch is better when you complete your Graduation studies.....Then take a little experience of job.....Since you are not experienced now, therefore Diploma is quite difficult for you as it requires a lot of hard work and experience...........

Eligibility for the exam: A candidate must passed the 10 from any recognized boards with 60% marks. 5% relaxation to SC/ST, Handicapped students. After qualifying the exam you can apply for polytechnic course.

Yes you can and you should do it in order to get good future salary package.

For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.

Diploma will be 3 yrs course and then direct entry in 2nd year engg will save your 1 year time and finally you will be an Engr in next 6 yrs.

You have both options after passing 10th.

You can either continue your studies upto 12th and then join any Bachelor course like B.Sc or B.Tech for higher studies.

But if you think you weaker in your subjects and also economically weak, then you can just do Diploma and start earning within 3 years.

Bcoz.. Your basics will be studied in HSC education only ....
