In general aptitude section only two types of fields are coming:
1. Verbal Ability:
English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.
2. Numerical Ability:
Numerical computation, numerical estimation, numerical reasoning and data interpretation.

plez tell me what type of aptitude book prefer for other commpetiton exam. and specially for gate exam.

there will be around 15 aptitude questions coming in this year's GATE exam,
the major topics from which questions might come are:

number series
time-distance questions
clock,calender,blood-relation type of questions
assertion-reasoning type of questions
mental ability type.

you can refer study materials provided by coaching centers like TIME or career launcher.

Aptitude questions constitutes 15%of gate marks.
They consists of Logical questions, verbal ability, mental reasoning, analytical reasoning.

first of all get your basics right, then solve as many problems as you can. then solve all the papers , then take mock exams and practice more surely you can crack, no short cut WORK HARD, best of luck.
