Yes you can choose these subjects in Mains as there is no subject in prelims from 2011. |

for ias prelim there is need to select optional subjects from 2011 but you need to have select any two subjects for the main exam from the choice given.

yes,. You can. But both are considered to be bit tough subjects. Also both are problematic.
Better would be to take maths or physics and any other theoretical subjects like sociology, public administration etc. If you are really good in these subjects, You can take them both even. No risk. But you should be proficient enough. |

sir, i hold a partial knowledge based on prelims.. i need to be gained more on these preliminary. as how many optional courses should i take?, mainly as im a btech computers student, there was no such list i find based computer science.. so what optional courses could help me out frm these to pick them up .. how could "the indian history" helps me if i go opt it as my optional...
