First of all i am very sorry to say but the NDA exam is not for girls. It is strictly for boys who are unmarried and falls between the age limit of 16.5 and 19 years. Thus even if you are very interested to give this exam you can't do so as the eligibility criteria for this exam does not allows that.

But having said that i dont think you should lose hope for that as you can sit for the CDS examination after completing graduation. Since you are in class 12 right now so firstly i would request you to complete HS first and then choose a good stream and complete graduation from a recognized university.

Combined Defense Service is the full form of CDS and to recruit candidates in the Army, Air Force, Naval and Officer's Training Academy wing an exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice every year. This exam can be given by both girls and boys.

However it should be noted that girls can only apply for the OTA only and the rest of three wings are for boys. You can apply for OTA if you have a graduation degree in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.

The stream here does not matters. On successfully cracking this exam you will receive training from Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. Cadets who passed out from OTA gets short service commission.

For the OTA only unmarried female candidates can apply. Apart from that the ones who are widowed and may or may not have children can also apply for the same. The lower age limit for this exam is 19 years and the upper age limit is 25 years.

The examination pattern for OTA exam is slightly different from that of the IMA, NA and AFA wing. For this academy's written exam you need to stress on the following areas:- English and GK. For each paper you will get two hours and maximum marks allotted for each paper is 100.

Only unmarried male candidate who completed their 12th with physics and mathematics as main subject are eligible for all the 3 wings of Indian Defence.Age of the candidate should be between 16.5-19 years.

If you are determined to join defence then first complete your graduation in any field from a recognized university and then apply for Combined Defence Service (CDS) exam. There are many post for female candidate in CDS exam.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. The UPSC conducts NDA examination for recruiting candidates in the defense services.

The Examination is conducted twice in a year in April and August namely NDA I and NDA II respectively.

The Pattern of Selection in NDA is as follows :

* Written Examination

* SSB Interview

* Medical

The Eligibilities for the NDA Examination are :

* Educational Qualifications :

The candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects in 10+2 / Intermediate.

Candidates with minimum qualifying marks in +2 / intermediate are eligible.

+2 / intermediate Appearing Candidates can also apply.

* Age Limitations :

Age must be in between 16.5-19 years.

No Relaxation in upper age is given to any candidate belonging to any category.

* Nationality : Indian. OR

b) A Subject of Nepal OR

c) A Subject of Bhutan

* Sex : Male

* Marital Status : Unmarried

* Physically and Mentally Fit.

so from the eligibility required above it is quite clear that female candidate is not allowed to join NDA.

Dear student you are a 12th standard science student without math subject, you liked to join in Indian Army.Dear student it is possible on the basis of your qualification you can join in Indian Army.The detail procedure is as under.

1.First of all you are to be a Graduate then you are to do CDS(combined defence service)to join in Indian Army.

Eligibility to do CDSE ARMY:-

1.A Graduate or a final year candidate from a recognized University in any discipline can write CDS Army exam.

2.CDS exm.is conducted by UPSC 2 times in a year.

3.The age must be within 19 years to 24 years.

4.Male/Female both can write CDSE Army exam.

5.Candidate must be the Indian citizen.

6.Candidate must be unmaarried.

To join in army you are to pass in written/physical/medical and in interview to receive the call letter for SSB.

Sorry to say that Girls are not eligible to appear for the National Defence Academy(NDA) exam as per the notifications released by the union public service commission every year.

According to the notifications released by the union public service commission for the NDA exam,there is a rule that only unmarried male candidates can apply for the NDA exam.

The male candidates who had completed 12th or equivalent from a recognised board/institute can appear for the NDA exam.
