hello sir I am doing chemical engineering from vit pune do you think i will be placed

I have completed my B.tech in 'Biotechnology and Biochemical" Engineering in 2012.
I have qualified for GATE 2013 Chemical Engg.
Score 277(OBC).
Should I do M.tech in Chemical Engg or search for a job.

what is the minimum salary when i completed my B.E chemical engineering?

If you want you can join Company like:-

Following are the job you will get after doing chemical engineering

You can get placed in Fertilizers company: IFFCO, RCF, NFL etc
Refineries like ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL Reliance, Essar etc
FMCG, Dabur, HUL, PnG etc

You would placed in plant or refinery. Environment are very safe there as these plants and refinery have latest safety equipments

You can do MBA and get placed in corporate office.

There is very good scope in Chemical engineering.You can apply for jobs in Petroleum refinery,Fertilizer company,Food manufacturing company,Pharmaceutical company etc.You will get good salary and it will be around 25000 to 30000 for fresh engineer and will increase with experience.There is lot of scope of chemical engineering in our country.

There is lots of scope in chemical engg.These days lots of students are opting for it after the sudden boom this filed.


There is a myth that if you do chemical engg then you will fill petrols. This is just a joke but the truth is that chemical engg get awesome salaries. Take a case of a guy who did chemical engg from NIT and then went abroad to study and so today he is earning 45 lakhs a year.

In india the average salary of chemical engg is 3 lakhs but later the salary get hiked soon

So if you have interest in this field then go for it there is lots of scope in it
