Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
hi dear,
Both are equally good and earning wise both are great. But i will tell you something. Civil engineers can be architect engineers but architecht engg cant be civil engg. I said this because civil engg are tought little bit of architechure in their course and if not then later they can do it seperately. But its you choice whether which one to join. For architect aptitude is important. If you dont have aptitude in it then you will never be successful in it. You should be good at drawing and imagination skills etc For civil engg your basic maths concepts should be good along with that you should be fast in calculations and also must have talent to deal with pressure. So you can easily see what you have and so choose the desired. Now answering your questions one by one 1) No doubt both will have great scope forever as construction work is evergreen as someone said that food, shelter and clothes are the most important 2)Earning will increase according to your experience. It can be lakhs a month. 3)You can get a govt jobs easily like you can get into PWD and other related departments An Mtech in any of the above field will boost your career. So decide whats the best for you thanks |

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
friend considering the pts. u have suggested i would suggest u do a degree in civil/mech. engg. rather than b.arch because first of all a b.tech in civil/mech have much larger scope,u can switch over to different job profiles can earn a good compensation and have plenty of oppurtunities in govt. sector as well

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
Hello friend,
It is solely your decision,& one should not interfere,as it involves your future. If you are passionate about architecture,or have some family background, then may opt for it.Otherwise you seem to have studied science in 10+2, and hence undoubtedly B.TECH in Mechanical engg. would be the best choice of the trio. As far as placements & basic salaries are concerned, it is contingent with time & the institute you graduate. About scopes: B.Tech has tremendous scope globally as well as in our country, but B.Arch has limited scopes in our country, though it has great scopes abroad. After all, its upto you and your passion. Hope this helps... |

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
dear as you are interested in the civil and machenical then i will say b.tech from the mechnical is better because mechanical is the branch which covers large no. of PSU's and the private sector and also on this branch there is negligible effect of the recession so you should choose the b.tech with mechenical branch to get better option in future.o all the best.

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
Dear friend,
In my thinking B.tech in civil/me engineering is best.Because these two stream have more demand in India or in abroad.ME and civil engineers never sit without any job they will definitely get a job if they have good marks and good knowledge about their department. In India there are lots of construction is going on so there is a good demand for civil engineers. And for me students best field is power and energy field. If they can get a job in those field they will get bright future and good salary and also good job security. Good luck. |

As per my opinion B.tech is best i think so. As a b.tech candidate can posses one or the other job. B.tech graduates can have jobs in both private and govt sector. Among them you have interest in Civil engineering which has bright future. So better to go with the b.tech work hard. Now coming to earning you will have same earning in both but in beginning you get less per annum. All the best...... |

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
hi dear,
Yeah of course friend Architecture engineering is having a very bright future.. As the comforts are increasing all the humans are looking after their social prestige for this they can show in their dressing, their vehicles, and also with their Home So they are requiring the professional suggestions for this Architectural engineers are in demand For this reason only the professional and prestigious colleges like IIT's are also taking special care for Architectural engineers Architectural engineering is also called as Building Engineering An engineer in the structural, mechanical, electrical, construction or other engineering fields of building design and construction. The architectural engineers are having gloabal demand So do not worry about Architectural engineering's future. I'm attaching a good PDF relating to the Architectural engineering So please have a look thanks |

Re: WHICH IS BETTER B. Arch (Architecture) or B. Tech (Civil/ Mechanical engineering) ?
Mechanical engineering or Civil engineering and architecture are different fields that cannot be compared as such.
Architecture is more of creativity and engineering field is the application part of that creativity, so i think which one is better depends on your like and caliber and should be choosen accordingly. You should choose the course on your interest first. |
