Yes, final year ECE students are eligible for IES exam. IES (Indian Engineering Service) Examination are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Eligibility: - 1. The IES is now called the Engineering Service Exam, is conducted by the UPSC on behalf of the government of India.
The exam is conducted for the following categories: 1. Mechanical Engineering 2.Civil Engineering 3.Electrical Engineering 4.Electronics and telecommunication Engineering. As you are a ECE, the eligibility is as follows: Age: Minimum 21 years of age as on 1st August of the year of exam. Educational Qualification: Minimum graduate degree in engineering from a recognized college/university. Also, final year students can apply. Syllabus is attached. |

IES exam is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.. The eligibility criteria for appearing in IES exam- Educational qualification- *one must have bachelor degree in any of these following engineering branch- 1.Electronics 2.Electrical 3. Mechanical 4.Civil.. There is no such percentage marks require to appear in IES exam.. Age criteria- *For general- Max.-30years, Min-21years. For Sc/ST the age relaxation is 5years For OBC the age relaxation is 3years.. As you have mentioned that you are from ECE branch then you can appear in this exam.. * The candidate must be a citizen of India. * He/she must hold a degree of B. E. or B. IES exam is conducted by the UPSC For admitting the aspirants to the engineering posts under the following category 1. Civil engineering 2. Mechanical engineering 3. Electrical engineering 4. Electronics and telecommunication the aspirant can apply if they have the below requirement 1. Bachelor degree in engineering from any discipline 2. Final year aspirants can also apply. 3. Masters degree holders in radio physics, wireless communication can also apply . 4. Only candidate within the age limit can apply. The minimum age required is 21 5. Aspirant of general category can apply upto a age of 30 while obc aspirant can apply upto 33 years and sc , st aspirant can apply upto 35 years of age. You can apply for the exam. Provided you are within age limit. Aspirant other than sc and sc can attempt for the exam only for a limited times general category aspirant can attempt 4 times , while a obc category aspirant can apply maximum of 7 times within the prescribed age limit. |
