well, the cbi itraces its origin into the special police establishment (SPE) in 1941 by the govt of india.
CBI recruits subinspectors through staff selection commision which publishes recruitment notice in employment news and all daily newspapers. police inspectors/sub inspectors can approach the local CBI supritendent generally located in the capital of the state.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
Age Should be Between 20-25 years
(relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.)

To become a CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) you need to go through a Combined Graduate Level Examination of Staff Selection Commission conducted by Government of India.

Reply: Sir, C.B.I(Central Bureau of Investigation) is a government agency of India that serves as a criminal investigation body, national security agency and intelligence agency.It was established on 1 April 1963 and evolved from the Special Police Establishment founded in 1941 Its motto is "Industry, Impartiality, Integrity".The C B I is controlled by the Department of Personnel and Training in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension of the Union Government usually headed by a Union Minister who reports directly to the Prime Minister.
The other investigation agencies are CID, IB , RAW etc..

Now several vacancyies (stenographers,pairvi officers) are there in CBI on contract basis.

Qualification for stenographer is +2 pas and short hand speed at 80 words per min and typing speed at 40 words per min. salary is Rs1500/month. Last date for the application is 12-8-2011.

Qualification for pairvi is based on the experiences. salary is Rs 40000/month . Last date of applcation is 12.8.2011.

Law graduates with minimum 10 years of experiences can apply for the law officer posts. salary Rs 60000/ month. last date is 2.8.2011.

you may prepare for direct entry SI entrance examination for entry in CBI or prepare for civil services examination to be an IPS officer.

I am S.Raj, MSc Forensic science, 38Years/Male,
At present working in Department of Forensic Medicine, Bangalore. Can I know is there a chance to dedicate my honest and dedicated services to my country through the Department of Central Bureau of Investigation?
Please suggest me what can be done?Why the age is only limited age crieteria between that of 25 - 27 ?
Why it canot be between 30 - 40? It's only a request please donot mistake me.

when I see the advertisements The only question arises with in me is that why they recruit only between 20 - 25 aged candidates,why they dosen't take our experience into account where we are already into the field partialy?

Eligibility criteria -
1. graduation from a recognized university.
2. age limit= 20 to 25 years ( relacxetion for sc/st/obc is of 3 years).
To join C.B.i you have to go through SSC exam . There are so many books available in market or you can study books online also.
