iThe National Eligibility Test (NET),conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for
lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) . The Test is conducted twice(months of June and December) in a year in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science like SET(State Eligibility Test). Eligibility: 1:You should have Master Degree from a recognized University and Colleges,you can also apply for the exam if your Result Awaited category, if you are appearing or has appeared in your final year of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination. 2:You have to secure minimum 55% of marks in your Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination 3:There is no age limit for applying for lectureship. 4:If you apply for Junior Research Fellowship ,your age should not more than 28 years. You can apply for the NET exam if you are fulfilling this criteria as under-
(a) For the post of Junior Research Fellowship 1.you must not be more then the age of 28 years. 2.You must have completed your master in graduation with minimum of 55% marks for General and OBC students; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped students. 3.Phd degree holder can also apply. (b) For lecturership: There is no upper age limit.Minimum age is 19 years. As an MBA you can apply for the NET exam BUt as a P.G.D.M you are not eligible for that. |

hy,
you have to scored atleast 55% marks in your master degree or equivalent examination. There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing only for eligibility for lectureship. Eligibility for NET exam:- *Candidate must have complete the post graduation in any trade... *Candidate must have secure 55% marks in post graduation for general category. For SC/ST 50% aggregate is required. *Candidates age should not be more than 28 years. These are the criteria you have to fulfill.. All the best. |

I am doing M.Sc in physics.. if one of my papers is not clear in 1st semester.. and i got aggregate of 60% in 1st year (1st and 2nd sem combined).. then am i eligible 4 giving this exam as final appearing student in the coming december??

The eligibility criteria's are : i) Only those candidates are eligible to appear in NET who have completed/ are pursuing a UGC specified Master’s degree in : LLM ( Master of Law of Laws) MBA ( Master of Business Administration) M.Com ( Master of Commerce) MD ( Master of Medicine) M.Dance ( Master of Dance) M.Ed. ( Master of Education) ML ( Master of Laws) MA ( Master of Arts) MCA ( Master of Computer Applications) MJ ( Master of Journalism) MLIS ( Master of Library & Information Science) MPA ( Master of Performing Arts) MPS ( Master of Population Studies) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master’s Degree (or) equivalent examination from Universities/ Institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. National Eligibility Test Eligibility June 2012-
You are doing of NET exam 2012. but this exam is some rule. if you apply per rule then you give NET exam. Conditions of UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2012 June : 1.Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks ( without rounding off ) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities ( including languages ) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. 2.The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 ( irrespective of date of declaration of result ) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks ( i.e., from 55% to 50% ) for appearing in NET. 3.Candidates with Post Graduate Diploma / Certificate Course ( s ), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course ( s ) with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ), New Delhi. UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR) in the following areas: - 1. Chemical Sciences 2. Earth Sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences The exam is fully multiple choice answers questions. Date of UGC NET examinationis yet not announced but expected to come on June 2011 |
