Educational requirements- graduation degree from a recognized college, what ever may the stream is .. Age limit- 21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates, 21-33 years for the OBC candidates, 21-35 years the SC\ST candidates. No. of attempts- 4 for the GENERAL candidates, 7 for the OBC candidates,. no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates, This examination has three stages- 1.CSAT, 2.MAINS, 3.INTERVIEW.. IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer one should appear and crack the Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. IAS stands for Indian Adminstrative Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission once in a year. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Nationality: The candidate should be citizen of india. Educational Qualification: The candidate should be complete the graduation from any recognized university. The candidate no need to any kind of percentage to eligible for this exam. The candidate just need pass the graduation. The final year pursuing candidates are also eligible for the civil service examination. Age limit: The candidate minimum age is above 21 years and maximum age is below 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for the obc candidates. 5 years age relaxation for the sc/st candidates. Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible for this exam. No of attempts: 4 attempts for the general category 7 attempts for the obc category There is no limit of attempts for the sc/st categories. Physical Standards: the candidate should have physical fitness for this exam. IAS eligibility criteria:
It does not really matters which stream you belong to as they just look for graduates in any discipline from a recognized university. Your age should be between 21-30 years.
