Age criteria of Engineering Services Examination 2017
Dear Sir, I am a B. Tech Holder in Electronics & Communication Engineering. My date of birth is 17.01.1986. Please advise if I can write Engineering Services Examination 2017. Please, tell me the age criteria.

Engineering Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year for recruitment of Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineer posts.
Age Criteria of Engineering Services Examination 2017 :- => You should have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st January, 2017. => Upper age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as mentioned below :- >> OBC Candidates :- 3 years >> SC/ ST Candidates :- 5 years Other important eligibility criteria that you need to fulfill to appear in Engineering Services Examination 2017 is mentioned below :- => You should be an Indian National. => You should have passed Bachelor's degree course in Engineering from a Government recognised university. |

Engineering Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year for engineering graduates. The age limit for candidates of general category is 21-30 years with upper age relaxation of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.
The lower and upper age limit is calculated on 1st August of year of examination. Your date of birth is 17/01/1986, you will be over 30 years on 1st August of year of exam. You can apply for Engineering Services examination, 2017 only if you belong to OBC or SC/ST category. |

The age criteria for Engineering Services Exam or Indian Engineering Services examination is:
*General category candidate: 21-30 years on 1st August of year of examination. *OBC category candidate: 21-33 years on 1st August of year of examination. *SC/ST category candidate: 21-35 years on 1st August of year of examination. As per you date of birth, you will be over 30 years in 2017 and there is chance only if you are either from OBC or SC/ST category. |

The minimum age of applicants must be 21 years and maximum is 30 years on 1st January 2017 The upper age limit of 30 years is relaxable upto 35 years in the case of government servants of certain categories The candidate must be an Indian So, you are eligible for Engineering services examination 2017. |

No, you are not eligible to appear for IES entrance examination conducted by UPSC.
The age limit to appear for examination is 21-30 years with relaxation in age for employee in Central government (railway,military etc.) that is 35 years. So, as per your age limit you are not eligible to appear for examination if not employee in central government jobs. To get more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Yes, you can write Engineering Services Examination 2017 as per the age criteria for the exam.
UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts Engineering Services Exam every year. It is a combined entrance examination to recruit eligible candidates for the posts / services in Indian Engineering Services, Central Engineering Services and Telecommunication etc. The eligibility criteria for IES exam are as under :- -The candidate must be an Indian. -The candidate should possess Bachelor's degree in Engineering(B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university or equivalent. -The candidate age limit should be in between 21 years to 30 years as on the 1st August of the year of the examination. There will be relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidate and 5 years for SC/ST candidate and 10 years for Pwd candidates. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years in case of Government servants and has been increased to 35 years . -Selection Criteria : Written examination : 1000 marks and Personal interview : 200 marks. |

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year.
Age Limit for IES: Applicant should have minimum age is 21 years. Applicant maximum age limit is 30 years. Upper age relaxation: 3years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates. 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates. 10 years upper age relaxation for Physically Handicapped candidates. |
