hi
the age limit for the gate exam for general category students is 30 years,
there is relaxation of 5 years for sc/st students
also there is no limit on the number of attempts ,

for writing GATE you need to have a UG or PG degree...good news is there is no age limit for GATE...

30 years is age limit for general candidates. For sc/st candidate age limit is 5 years relaxations.

there is an age limit of 30 years for general category students and of 35 years for sc/st students. there is no limit on number of attempts, so you can apply for the exam any number of times.

see, GATE exam is a all India basis test conduct by the IITs.

the GATE eligibilty is given below

1.minimum graduation in engineering.

final year & prefinal year btech students are allowed to attain in the gate exam.

2.after msc doing msc. students are also eligibile to attain in the gate exam.

there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam. so you can appear any time in the gate exam.

The candidates with following academic background are eligible to appear in GATE 2011 Examination:

Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are inthe final or pre-final year of such programmes.

Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed Section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.status.

Above is the only criteria,no age limit is there.You can apply many times but one time GATE score is valid only for 2 years.

there is no upper age limit for GATE entrance exam.
And add to this there is no fixed number of attempts.

as such there is no upper age limit for GATE exam.
YOU can also have any number of attempts you want.

There is no such restriction for attempting GATE exam, so attempt exam till you get succeed.

There are some criteria for to apply exam,that are mentioned below

-should be complete graduation degree or in per-suing degree
-should be an Indian citizenship holder

Hi.
There is no age limit on the number of attempts in the gate exam.
You can appear as many times as you want.
For complete details you can visit the official sites of IIT.

For GATE exam you can appear in any age as there is no upper age limit for it.

You can appear for GATE any no. of times.

The score of yours will be valid for 2 years.

It will be better if you are able to get good score within 2 attempts.

In order to appear for GATE you need to have completed your B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/P.G in any stream.

there is age limit for gate is no required but your score card is valid for only 2 years that's why you can give this exam only two times and your score card is valid for 2years.

in GATE examination there are no age limitation. one candidate any time can appear in GATE examination irrespective of his age.


but if you want to take admission in master degree with your GATE score then there are some university which give eligibility criterion that student should have age below 30 years to take admission. so you will not be eligible to take admission in this case.


but if you want to do something other than the admission in master degree then obviously you may appear in GATE examination any time. in some university also you may take admission in master degree irrespective of your age. so you should appear any time if you are really interested.

Only B-TECH and masters degree are eligible for GATE exam.

There is no age criteria for GATE exam .You can try it in many times.

The GATE score is valid for two years.

there is no age limit for GATE exam..neither there is any restriction on the number of attempts u can give the GATE exam..so dont worry n prepare well

GATE is the entrance exam to get into the ME/MTech degree programmes.
to apply for the exam you need to have completed your BE/BTech degree.

for writing GATE exam there is no age limit

yes why not you have scored well marks and by the it will depend on cut off list of nit and dont hopeless you will seat definitely in NIT
