Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
if you want job after 12 then you will face some problem because so many posts need atleast 55%. AS far as taking admission is concerned you cannot take admission through IIT OR AIEEE because iit need atleast 60% in pcm whereas aieee want 55% in same .

Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
Thats called bad luck, even after scoring 65% you didn't manage to score 50% in PCM.
However, today there are number of engineering entrance, but no one expect less 50% in PCM at least, so in this condition it gets tougher to fulfill engineering dreams, but not impossible. If you are belonging to any SC/ST/PH there will be relaxation of 5% for you in any entrance. Eligibility for OBC candidate are generally remains same as for general candidates. But since you are from Maharashtra, acuquiring an OBC of MAharashtra will be not difficult task for you. By getting it you can appear for MH-CET. Apart from this, there are various Private Engineering colleges in India specially in south Indian region say- Banglore, Kuvempu, Tamil NAdu area, where one can easily get into B.Tech having less then 50% but greater then 45%. Even you doesn't have to switch to managment quota. But problem is that at prsent admission is closed in any college of India. So better next time, or you can also appear for improvement. Hiiiiiiiiiiiii mostly engineering colleges accept minimum of 60% but you can apply through management quota's and even some private colleges ask about only pass in 12th class so make a search of above and register for those.......
and Hope for Best Good Luck |

Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
first of all you will not get any chance to take admission in engineering as you have marks less than 50% in PCM in 10+2 level.
if you belongs to SC/ST/PH or in other reservation candidate then you may get 5% less in your marks. but it will be very difficult to appear in entrance examination with less than 50% marks in PCM. even if you study engineering then it will be also very difficult to get job for you because of your marks. i think as you have less marks in PCM so you do not have interest on science subject. in this case you should not go further with science. your overall marks is 65%. so you have good marks in language subject i think. in this case you should go further with that subject. you should do your graduation with your favorite subject. if you are good in english then study on it. also if you are good in other language subject then you may go for it. may be that engineering student have comparable more scope and opportunity. but you should go with your capability. if you are good in any subject then you will also face a good opportunity irrespective of the subject. best wishes. |

Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
Hello Dear
You are not eligible to appear for any competitive exam of engineering but if you want to go for engineering only then you can do one thing, there are some private colleges which give admission on the basis of 12th marks also. You can try for those colleges for the admission of Maharashtra state or in some other state. Or you can try through management quota or NRI qouta. |

Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
You had a bad luck in 12th exam, but dont worry too much because you can take admission in NITS with even less than 50% in PCM.
I am too confident about it because one of my friend is studying in nit with having only 43% in PCM in 12th. As you have obtained more than 60% overall in 12th, so you wont problem in placement also (because during placement only overall 12th will be considered not the pcm). Prepare well for it, good luck. |

Re: Am I Eligible for Any Competitive Exam With Less Than 50% in PCM?
Yes you can eligible in competitative exam because it requires minimum 60% in 12th and you got 65% because it considers overall marks not the marks of only PCM subject . But to get admission you will face the problem because your PCM marks are not good so your merit will less than others so you will get the admission in lower rank college . So it will be effect on your future .
