IAS and IPS are Indian Civil Service posts and for joining in these posts you need to write the entrance exam.And the entrance exam for them is conducted by UPSC and is held every year and they are IAS and IPS exam.


IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service

IPS stands for Indian Police Service


Having completed B.sc in Information Technology you are eligible for applying for IAS or IPS exam as regarding the education qualification needed.

There are certain other criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the exams and they are:

Eligibility for IAS & IPS Exam:

Nationality:

> You need to be a citizen of India

Age Limit:

> The age limit for the exam is that the candidate must have 21-30 years for General Category candidates.

> For candidates of SC/ST it is 21-35 years and for OBC candidates it is 21-33 years

> The candidates of Ex-service men it is 5 years exception from the prescribed limits.

Education Qualification:

> The education qualification for the IAS and IPS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

> Even final year degree can also apply for the exam

Physical Standard (For IPS Only):




If you are satisfying all these above mentioned criteria's needed for the exam then you can apply for the exams.

In order to become a IAS or IPS officer, you must have to clear the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.

Yes you are definatly eligible to appear for the IAS,IPS exam as B.sc is also a graduation which is the minimum requirement for apearing in IAS exam
