Am I eligible to appear for IAS or IPS Exam being a candidate pursuing B.Sc in IT in KSOU?
Dear sir,
i am doing Bsc information technology in karnataka state open university. is am elligible to take I.A.S/I.P.S exam? please suggest me. thank you |

Education Qualification: > The education qualification for the IAS and IPS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university. > Even final year degree can also apply for the exam Physical Standard (For IPS Only): If you are satisfying all these above mentioned criteria's needed for the exam then you can apply for the exams. Friend... In order to become a IAS or IPS officer, you must have to clear the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION. IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE & IPS stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVICE. the only educational requirement for appear in this examination is a Graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized university or college. So, you are eligible for appear in this examination. This examination has three stages to be clear... 1. CSAT (CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST) 2. MAINS 3.INTERVIEW.. CSAT exam pattern- No. of Optional subjects in CSAT- No. of optional subjects in MAINS- Age limit for appear in this exam- 21-30 years for the general candidates, 21-30 years for the obc candidates, 21-35 years for the sc\st candidates... No. of attempt for CSAT- Four for the general candidates, Seven for the Obc candidates, No such restriction for the sc\st candidates... You must have Indian nationality. Yes you are definatly eligible to appear for the IAS,IPS exam as B.sc is also a graduation which is the minimum requirement for apearing in IAS exam

-->IAS stands for indian administrative service. -->IPS stands for indian police service. -->ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:- 1.NATIONALITY:- -candidate must be indian. 2.AGE LIMIT:- -candidate must have 21-30 years of age. -age relaxation is there for SC/ST/OBC categories. 3.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- -Candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university. all the best...go ahead!!!! |
