Yes dear you will be eligible for many govt exams like

->BHEL Trainee exam.

->BSNL Junior Telecom Officer exam.

->ECIL Recruitment exam.

Especially UPSC and Defense exams

->UPSC Civil Service Exam.

->UPSC Combined Defence service exam

->UPSC AFCAT Exam.

->ARMY UES Exam.

->Various Navy jobs etc., etc.,

you are eligible for many exams after completing your degree course.
in distance mode.
No exam will ask your degree from a Regular mode specially. Just the University which is pursued degree should be a recognized one. It will be enough.
As KSOU(Karnataka State Open University) degrees are approved by UGC . your degree is valuable in your govt job selection exams.

and for your question regarding IAS/IPS selection you need to clear a examination called UPSC Civil service exam.

The eligibility criteria required to clear this examination is you need to be a graduate from a recognized University and also should acquire 21 yeas of minimum age.

after having this eligibility criteria you need to apply for UPSC CSE after a notification.

There will be a three level selection pattern.namely.

->Level 1 - Civil Service Aptitude Test.

->Level 2 - Mains Exam.

->Level 3 - Personal Interview.

After successfully clearing all the levels of the selection procedure you will be given a overall performance rank. Based on that rank UPSC will allot you a service and cadre.

Better rank Better service and cadre.
for further details log on to official website of UPSC
Here is it
www.upsc.gov.in

This is all about the government job information.

Regards

The IES or even the Civil Services recruitment notification does not prescribe any specific percentage of marks.

All that is prescribed is a degree. So, you need not have any apprehensions on this account. Prepare well and get a job.

But, why should you restrict your choice only to a Government job? Please keep your options open and grab any job that will give you job satisfaction and a decent salary. These days, private sector jobs are more satisfying and more rewarding.
