Am I eligible to give JEE Main exams if my age is 16 years? What is the minimum criteria followed? Can you please provide me the details on the same? I need to apply for the exam, so please help me with the details as soon as possible.

As per age criteria, you are not eligible for the JEE Main exam.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks are eligible for JEE Main. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is conducted in two stages as Main and Advanced.

The examination is conducted for admission of candidates in B.Tech/B.E courses. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed or appearing for 10+2 board examination from any recognised board.

Candidate must have minimum 45% in PCB/PCM. There are only three attempts to appear for examination. So, you are eligible to appear for examination at the age of 16 years.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE Main Exam.

To apply for this exam, you must have passed/appearing in 10+2 with PCM or PCMB stream.

It is conducted for getting admission to NITs, IIITs, CFIs, etc.

Upcoming JEE Main Exam (Offline) will be conducted on 3 April, 2016 while Online Mode will be conducted from 9 April, 2016.

JEE Main Eligibility
- You must have passed (10+2) with atleast 5 subjects including PCM as a main subjects with aggregate 50%.
- You must have passed (10+2) in the year of 2013 or after.
- Your age should be less than 25 years. Relaxation applicable 5 years for SC/ST.
- Only three maximum attemps are allowed.

- Total Questions : 90 (Physics : 30 , Chemistry : 30 , Maths : 30)

To appear for JEE mains 2016 you are not eligible with the age of 16 years because only those candidates are eligible for JEE main whose date of birth falls on October 01, 1991.

Minimum age for entrance exam of IIT JEE 2016 are as under :-
