My date of birth is 27-12-1993. Am i eligible for nda
can u answer me soon.

In order to make entry into NDA (National Defence Academy), one has to crack NDA Exam. This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

By cracking this exam, the candidate can join the following defence services
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing

One should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years to be eligible for NDA Exam.

Being a candidate with a date of birth of 27-12-1993, you are going to complete 19 years by 27-12-2012.

As per this criteria, you are eligible for both the NDA Exams which are going to be conducted in this year.

So, I suggest yo to apply for NDA I Exam which is going to be conducted on 15-04-2012 and have good preparation to this exam and crack the exam well.

If you are qualified in this written exam, you will be invited for Interview. A mere good performance in Interview and passing in Medical test, you will be given job opportunity in your applied defence wing.

You can get the application forms for this from the post offices all over India.

The last date to apply for NDA I Exam is by 30-01-2012.

if you want to join Army,Navy or Airforce, then you need to write NDA exam conducted by UPSC.
Upsc will conduct this exam twice a year.

to write this NDA exam you need to satisfy some eligibility criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for NDA is 12th Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by any recognised Board.
Candidate appearing can also apply.
to join Navy and Airforce one should have studied maths and physics in 12th class.
to join army there is no restriction on the subjects they have studied.

Age limit 16.5 to 19 years.
if your age group falls under this, then you can apply for NDA exam.


A candidate has to go through three stages :

Written examination conducted by UPSC
Interview by SSB to test officer potentialities
Medical Test by a Service Medical Board.

Scheme of the Examination

Papers will be objective type. Medium of examination is English only.

Syllabus for Entrance Examination
Paper I - Mathematics : (Maximum Marks 300)
Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.
Paper II - General Ability
Part A - English (Maximum Marks 200)
Part B - General Knowledge (Maximum Marks 400)

APPLICATION FORM are published by the UPSC at interval of six months,
i.e. April / May and October / November in all the local newspapers and Employment News.

Yes you are eligible for NDA exam because your age is below 19 years.

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam.But you must secure at least 50% marks.

Commerce student are also eligible for NDA exam .(Indian Air Force)

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

the union public service commission will hold the examination on 15th April,2012 for admission to the Army,Navy and Air force wings of the NDA for the 129th course , and for the 91st indian naval academy course commencing from Decmber 2012

Age limit ,sex and marital status :
unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd january ,1994 and not later than 1st july ,1996 ae eligible
candidates appearing in the 11 th class exam are not eligible for this examination
Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination

NDA entrance examination:
Maths - code 01 - 21/2h 300 marks

Your Date of Birth: 27/12/1993

So now Your AGE is 18 years.

And to eligible for NDA exam your AGE must be between 16.5 to 19 years.

So definitely you are eligible for NDA exam at this age.

Your date of birth is 27.12.1993. So presently you are 18 years 1 month.


N.D.A. - National Defense Academy.

Generally N.D.A. consist of the following types :

1. N.D.A. - 1
2. N.D.A. - 2

Eligibility Criteria :-

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another
eye

So you are now not eligible for this aspect. After few months later you will be eligible.
