Age Limits: 16 ½ – 19 years

Age limit is counted such that the candidate should not cross the age of 19 & 1/2 till the date of commencement of course which is 01 July for every year.

The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.
The NDA I has been conducted and the application
process for the NDA II have already started.


Coming to the point, according to the notification
released by the UPSC regarding eligibility conditions
regarding NDA II is,
only unmarried male candidates born between
2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st January,
1996 are eligible.

So as you all have crossed your age limit,
so it is pretty unfortunate but you may not be
allowed to sit for the exam.


However, there is still scope for you to join the
defence forces.

You can appear for the CDS exam conducted by the
UPSC twice a year.


Eligibility Details:

Unmarried male and female candidates can apply.


Educational Qualification:

Candidate who have passed graduation in any field
from a recognized university may apply.

Candidates in the final year may also apply.

For applying in Air Force or navy, Physics and Math are compulsory.

Age Limit:

For IMA:19-23 years.
For AFA:19-23 years.
For NA:19-22 years.
For OTA:19-25 years.

you are not eligible as you have crossed, age limit meant for NDA

One's age must be in between 161/2 to 19 years

No,You are Not Eligible To Apply for NDA II Exam.

Because the candidate born not earlier than 2nd July,1993 and not later than

1st Jan,1996 are Eligible.

So that why you are Not Eligible To Apply for NDA II Exams.

But then also as per NDA-II(2011) notification you are not eligible..

It state that " candidate born not earlier than 2nd july, 1993 and not later than 1st january, 1996 are eligible

To apply for the NDA exam a candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years at the time of training.
Since your age remains 19 at the time of training so you are eligible to apply for the NDA exa.

Beside this the eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination is that a candidate should be 10+2 pass in any discipline.

For the exam of NDA the age limit is 16.5 to 19 yrs.
and as u haven't completed 19 yet so you are undoubtedly elligible for that.

You are not eligible for NDA II 2011 as you will cross the age limit criteria i.e

16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of commencement of training.

Hence you are not eligible for NDA examination.

Besides this you can apply for SSC or CDSE after completing your graduation..

Candidates born between 2nd July, 1993 and not later
than 1st January, 1996 are eligible.

Educational Qualification:

Candidate must have 10+2 exam conducted by state or central board.
Candidates applying for the Air Force or the Navy wing must have Physics and maths as compulsory subjects.

The age limit for applying for NDA is 16.5 to 19 years. If your age lies between this criteria then surely you are eligible for writing NDA exam.

no you are not eligible for NDA II 2011 examination. the age criterion for NDA II 2011 examination is only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1996 are eligible. but your birth date is earlier than 2nd July, 1993 so you will not be eligible for NDA examination. you have to try for any other career option.

So, as you are born date is 26th august 1992, you are not satisfying age criteria of NDA (II)-2011 examination.

It is stated that candidate whose date of birth is 93 onward are eligible to apply.

So, you are not eligible for NDA examination.

Don't loose hope you can apply for Indian Armed forces after completing graduation through CDSE.

you can apply for a nda2 2011. because you are of the age of 19.
as per requirement a candidate that is applying for nda must has its age between 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 .
as you are meeting with the requirement so friend , i suggest you to take part in this. you have to fill the nda examination forum.

there is a another way to enter in the defance department is CDS EXAM.

Your age has already reached 20 years and the eligibility criteria says that you need to be between 16.5 - 19 years.

2.) The minimum educational qualification required for the Indian Army is 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60 % marks.

When i searched about the eligibility of NDA II exam i found the age, sex eligibility as

"Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1996 are eligible”.

I think you are not eligible for this year examination.
