Re: Can BSc medical graduate student give IAS exam?
You don't need to think about other competitive entrance exams before you are eligible for the Civil Services Examination. To become Indian Administrative Service officer you will have to clear the Civil Services Examination.
What you have to do is apply for the exam when the next notification is issued. It will not be issued any time soon. Perhaps towards the first quarter of next year. Since this year too the registration process started around the same time. There are two stages of written tests to clear after which you will appear for personal interview. Clear all these 3 stages and you will become the Indian Administrative Service officer. You have B.Sc Medical degree. It will not be any problem because Civil Services Examination accepts any under graduate course. You can have B.Sc degree or B.Tech degree. Its not going to be the issue. IAS Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizens will be considered for IAS. 2. Bachelor degree in any discipline will be sufficient, if completed from recognized college. 3. No minimum percentage requirement for Bachelor degree. 4. You should be 21 years old to apply. 5. Can not apply for IAS after 30th birthday. 6. However OBC can apply till 33 years. 7. SC/ST can apply before turning 35 years. 8. There are no physical requirements for IAS. Selection Process 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |
