Hello friend,
Since you hold a degree in engineering, you can definitely write engineering service exam conducted by union public service commission. Unfortunately, the exam is conducted in only four disciplines of engineering which are Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering, Electrical engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication engineering. So, you do not have the option of chemical engineering and hence, you will have to appear in any one of the four disciplines of engineering. The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. There is no standards set for the percentage of marks required to be eligible for the exam, therefore, if you hold a degree in engineering, no matter how much you scored in the exam, you are eligible to write engineering service exam. For more information, refer to the official website of UPSC. |
