It is possible to pursue Civil services after B.A as graduation is the main eligibility criterion specified for this. Only pass marks in graduation is required for this. As part of this, UPSC Civil services exam need to be attended. Exam details will be published in the official site. The age limit to attend this exam is 21- 30 years. Candidates must prepare well to qualify the two levels involved in written exam which will enable them to attend personal interview as well.

Yes you can definitely appear for the Civil Service Examination for IPS/IAS/IFS etc after completing Bachelor of Arts course. Your percentage is irrevelant here since there is no percentage requirement to appear for Civil Service Examination.
Any candidate with a graduation degree can appear for the Civil Service Examination. Just ensure that there is no pending backlog and also that you are meeting all the physical requirements which are quite critical especially when you are appearing in Civil Service Exam for the Indian Police Service (IPS). Eligibility The eligibility creteria for the Civil Service Exam regardless the fact that you are appearing for IPS/IAS etc remains the same. 1. Candidate should be Indian Citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. Age Limit 1. The age limit for General candidate is 21 to 30 years. 2. The age limit for Other Backward Class is 21 to 33 years. 3. For SC/ST, age limit is 21 to 35 years. Physical Requirements Eye Sight: 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye No color blindness or night blindness Chest: Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm Height: Male - 165 cm (General) and 160 cm (ST)* Female - 150 cm (General) and 145 cm (ST)* * Please remember that it does not include SC and OBC. This limit is only for Schedule Tribe. |

Yes you can apply for the civil service examinations. Because the civil service exams there is no marks criteria. The candidate no need to any kind of percentage . The candidate just pass only. The civil service exams are like IAS/IPS/IFS. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS: The candidate must have a citizen of india. The candidate need to complete the graduation from any recognized university. The candidate no need to marks percentage. And just pass the graduation. Both male and female candidates are eligible for the civil service examinations. The age limit should be between 21 to 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for OBC Category and 5 years age relaxation for sc/st categories. No. Of attempts: 4 attempts for general category 7 attempts for OBC Category No limit of attempts for SC/ST categories. The candidate should be physically and medically fit for this exam. yes,you are eligible to apply for civil services exam.Graduate students are eligible to apply for civil services exam there is no percentage of marks required for this exam.Civil services exam is conducted by the UPSC once a year.

There is no requirement of any percentage of marks in Graduation for application to Civil Service Exam, only a pass in Graduation is sufficient to apply for the same.
Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year for appointment of IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc. officer in various Central Govt. Administrative Dept. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National. He should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University. He should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. There are two stages selection through written exam and final stage through Personal Interview. Candidate applying for Civil Service is called for a Preliminaty written exam which is called as CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test. The candidate selected out of it is calle for the Main written exam and candidate selected out of it is finally selected through Personal Interview. It is good that you have completed your BA course with 45.7% of marks.
You did not mention the age that you possess which is an important thing in deciding your eligibility to civil services Exam. One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible to apply for civil services Exam. Relaxation will be provided as Maximum of 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. Upto 10 years for the candidates with physical disabilities. If you posses the above mentioned age criteria as per your category, you can apply for civil services exam. Have good preparation for this exam and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
