i am passed my graduation in stream arts,but sir my persentage is very low.
I want to know can i apply to IPS,please can you give me any idea for IPS exam.

Sure you can apply for IPS post. You need to take the civil service exam for the same. The education qualification required for the same is graduation. A pass class too in any subject is sufficient to apply for this exam. You need to prepare well for the two stages in the exam. Along with preparing for aptitude oriented questions you need to prepare for any two subjects mentioned in the list in the UPSC site.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service Exam . IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.Arts stream also applicable for IPS exam.You are from Arts stream so you are applicable for CSAT exam.

IPS exam need not require any kind of percentage marks if you have completed graduation degree then you are applicable.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
Also you must be citizen of India.

Also you must fulfill the below given physical criteria.If you have satisfy those criteria then you are applicable otherwise not.

Height, Weight and chest for IPS exam-



Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.

For this Civil Service exam date already over so you can try for next year with good preparation.

IAS(INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE) exam every year conducting by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

Educational qualification:

The candidate should be passed in graduation with any stream from a recognised university.

Final year degree students may also eligible.

There is no percentage is needed.


Age criteria:

YES, you can apply for IPS as a graduation passing candidate.IPS stands for Indian Police Service and for joining in this great organization,the candidates have to pass in the civil service examination conducted by the union public service commission.
Age :-
Minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. In the case of ex-servicemen an age relaxation of 5 more years is given.
Educational qualification:-
The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree can also apply for the examination.
Physical qualification :-
Height:- The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm.
Chest:- Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

sir i am a student of class 10th in navodaya vidyalaya, as iam not more interested in maths and science and wish to do 12th in arts stream iwant to do ips, i am also president awardee in scouting.tell me relaxation and and right idea.
