You will have to complete graduation. Unless you do so, it is not possible to appear for the IPS entrance exam. Since you are arts student, bachelor of arts is one good option to consider for you.

Only apply for the IPS entrance exam which is known as Civil Services Examination once you have completed graduation. You should complete graduation from a recognized college. It is possible to do graduation through regular mode or the distance education mode to apply for the Civil Services Examination.

IPS Stands for the Indian Police Service. Although selected by the central government on the recommendation of Union Public Service Commission, IPS officers work closely with the state governments.

The IPS officers help in controlling law and order. They are promoted by central government by selecting them for CBI, IB and other intelligence agencies of the central government.


Eligibility

1. Nationality: Indian citizen.

2. Education: Bachelor degree in any discipline.

3. Percentage: No criteria.

4. Age Limit: Minimum of 21 years age required and maximum age limit is 30 years.

5. OBC Relaxation: OBC get 3 years relaxation.

6. SC/ST Relaxation: 5 years.


Physical Requirements for Male

Chest: Minimum 84 cm required with expansion of 5 cm.

Height: 165 cm (General) and 160 cm (ST).


Physical Requirements for Female

Chest: At least 79 cm with 5 cm expansion.

Height: 150 cm is minimum requirement. 145 cm for Schedule Tribe.

Hey friend,

You cannot join in as a IPS officer with only passing +2 as you are not satisfying the needed education qualification for joining in as a IPS Officer.

For becoming a IPS officer you need to write the IPS Exam which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year and this exam is known as one of the Indian Civil Service Exam

The reason why you are not eligible for the IPS Exam is that you are not satisfying the education qualification as you need to have completed a Graduation from a recognized university with a fair percentage from a recognized university.

BUt as you have only completed +2 you are not eligible at this stage,so it is better that you continue your studies and then apply for the IPS exam

With the education qualificaiton you also need to have a Citizenship in India and you must have 21-30 years of age
