I had completed inter 1st year now i am studying 2nd year. my date of birth is 5-5-1995. can i apply for NDA exam now.

the age should between 16.5 to 19 year.

Yes you are quite eligible to apply for the NDA examination as the age limit criteria for the NDA examination is that the candidate should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.As your date of birth is 05.05.1995 you with in the age limit criteria and you can apply for the examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM

Those candidate have completed their 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Your date of birth is 5-5-1995 means your age now 16+ but in time of notification you are eligible for NDA exam.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR NDA EXAM:-

1) Written test which is conducted by UPSC.

2)Personal Interview.

Information Regarding NDA Examination.

NDA examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the admission in the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force wing of the NDA. If you are interested in the NDA examination want to apply for the NDA examination then you need the following eligibility criteria to appear in the NDA examination.

Educational Qualification = Pass 12th class with any stream from a recognize board. The 12th exam appearing student are also eligible to apply for the NDA examination.

Age Limit = the age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of appearing of this examination.

This is the basic eligibility criteria to apply for the NDA examination. If your date of birth is 5th May 1995 then you are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

Eligibility for Indian Army :
1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

2:Marital Status:Unmarried

3:Sex :Male.

4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19.

5:Nationality:

You have to be A citizen of India, or

subject of Bhutan, or

subject of Nepal, or

Tibetan refugee .

Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published.

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India.

Each year course start twice January and July.

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.

iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions.
i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event

After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.

no you can not apply for nda exam as your date of birth does not agree with nda age criteria ie.16.5 to 19 year.(by Manvendra Singh)

hi friend you can not apply to N.D.A exam with your 10 studies .the minimum qualification required for applying N.D.A exam is 10+2 .
through this exam you can go into air forces ,army ,navy .this exam will held by u.p.s.c in 2 times in every year
Selection process

In this general maths ,g.k,aptitude is present
2.interview
In this they ask you recording your personal details
3.physical test and medical test

CDS stands for the Combined Defense Service.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CDS EXAMINATION :

You must either be :
A citizen of India

OR, A subject of Bhutan.

OR, A subject of Nepal.

OR, A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India.

OR A person of India origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, etc with the intention of permanently settings in India.

NDA stands for the National Defense Academy.

Its basically an All India Entrance Examination which is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year two times to select or rather recruit candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.


The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to be able to apply for the NDA exam are :-


1. You should be an Unmarried Male Indian

2. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India. No minimum percentage is required.

3. You should be physically absolutely fit.

4. Physics and Maths are compulsory subjects if you wish to apply for the India Navy or Air Force wings.

5. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years as in the year of applying.


Thus if you fulfill the following, then you are surely eligible to apply for the NDA exam.


For this year, i.e 2012, the NDA exam registrations are already over and the exam is scheduled on 15th April 2012 i.e Sunday.

The notifications are usually out in the month of December and the last dates are on the end of January.

Thus this year you cannot apply for this exam, but next year if your age permits, then you can apply online.
