Yes, diploma in Mechanical Engineering candidates are eligible for B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical Engineering through lateral entry exam.

Candidates with Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the Board of Technical Education recognized by the Department of Technical Education, Government of India will be considered for admission to the B.Tech course through Lateral Entry Scheme.
