Sir, I want to join army but now i m only at 11th of science stream and i m 17 years old.. Can i join? please tell me sir.

Dear Friend!

I am sorry to say that being a candidate of 11th standard you are not eligible to join Indian Army.

To join Indian Army you have to complete at least 12th standard the you can do join it.

12th passed candidate can join Indian Army through NDA entrance Examination.

NDA:- National Defence Academy. & this exam held twice in a year & conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).


Eligibility Criteria for NDA Exam:

>>You should be 12th passed from recognized university.

>>You are also eligible being a 12th standard candidate.

>>Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

>>You must have an Indian Citizenship.

>>You should be unmarried & male.

Selection Procedure through NDA:

This exam consist of three stages..

-Written Examination
-SSB Interview
-Physical Test

Being a candidate pursing 11th standard it is not possible for you to join NDA as you are not meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.

UPSC conducts National Defence Academy(NDA) entrance exam two times a year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and air Force wing of NDA.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA:-

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male
-Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board
-Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental physique.

Hence in order to join Indian Army of NDA you should have completed 12th first and with fulfilling other eligibility criteria you can apply for NDA.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

No you can not join army without completing 12th.
