Hello friend,
It really does not matters whether you belong to management background or science background. For civil service exam,all you need is to be a graduate, in any discipline, from a recognized university.
Apart from being a graduate, you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be over 30 years.
As per my concern, I don't think having a background in management is going to help you to any extent.
The examination is basically based on subjects like General Studies, English, Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills,
Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving,
General mental ability, Basic numeracy,Data interpretation etc.
