i am a student studying in 11th in commerce batch my aim is to join navy can i join navy after my 12th if i can tell what i have to do after my 12th

Dear friend to join Navy Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice time in a year for three wings.

- Army wings

- Navy wings

- Air force Wings

Eligibility criteria for NDA Examination :-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army wings.

For Navy / Air force wings:-

Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board.

There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination .

Age limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam.

Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam.


Height for NDA Exam:-

- Army Wings - 157.5 cms

- Air Force - 162.5 cms

- Naval Academy - 157 cms

There is no chance to Join in Indian Navy with 11st standard

because the minimum educational qualifictaion for NDA is 12th standard

and Commerce stream students are not eligible for Indian Navy

If you want to join in Indian Navy you must have PCM subjects in your 12th standard

No, you are not eligible to join Indian navy as an Officer through NDA after 12 from Commerce stream, only candidate from Science stream is eligible to apply for the same.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male candidate having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The candidate from 12th Commerce stream is only eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA.

To join Indian navy after 12th,you must be passed 12th standard with pcm subjects.

Yes, you can join Indian Navy after 12th, but you should have studied Physics and Mathematics in intermediate for Navy.

Indian navy can be joined after 12th by qualifying NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and the exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

The candidate should be 12th pass from a recognised university.

For Navy and Air Force, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.

The candidate's age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is no upper age relaxation.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply.

sorry, 12th commerce student are not eligble for Indian Navy wings, but you are eligiblie Indian Army wings:

Candidate must be passed 12th class of 10th&12th educational system with physics and maths sbujects in 11th&12th class.

as you have mentioned that you are a commerce student then you are not eligible for navy
eligiblity for nad-
unmarried males are eligible

If you have passed 12th with commerce then you will be only eligible for Indian Army. For Indian Navy you must have taken physics and maths in 10+2.

For 10+2 pass candidates there is NDA exam through which one can join Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

As you haven't studied physics and maths that means you can apply for NDA exam but you will be considered only for Indian Army and not for Indian Navy.

The age limit for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years and only unmarried males can apply for it. You also must be an Indian citizen.

So be prepared for NDA exam if you want to join Indian Army.

If you are only interested in Indian Navy then you should complete Graduation in commerce and then you will be able to apply for Logistics cadre in Indian Navy which is a short service commission.

There was indeed no problem in your joining the Navy till the time you did not take Commerce as your stream in Class 11th. I really appreciate your interest in joining the Navy and respect the fact. But it seems you are not properly informed about how to join Navy and how to go about it.

I need to inform you right at the beginning of this post that being a commerce students you are not eligible to join the Navy right after passing your class 12th Examination. There are certain reasons for it which are as follows.

You must be well aware that NDA is the first and foremost examination that needs to be cracked in order to get through the defense. NDA stands for the National Defense Academy and its basically an entrance examination that is conducted on all India basis by a body known as UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the months of April and August.

Now there are certain eligibility criteria that go along with it and need to be satisfied by the applicants in order to successfully apply for this exam. Some of the main ones are:

1. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA.
2. Should be 12th pass or appeared from a recognized school or educational institution.
3. Science students are open to apply for any of the 3 wings i.e. Army, Navy and Air Force while the Arts and commerce students can ONLY apply for the Army.
4. As well known the physical and mental fitness is a must for an applicant applying for the NDA.
5. Age criteria - 16.5 years to 19 years.

Now you can well see, that if you are a commerce student which you are you cannot apply for the NDA for the Navy posts. You can only apply for the Army wing.

It is true that army is also one of the best defense services available and you should still try to get through that. Another thing is right after passing class 12th, you can sit for this exam. You have to be aware about the forms that come out the year before in December.
