Yeah sure , you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year for admission to Indian Air force , Indian Navy , Indian Army .

Eligibility Criteria :-

• 12th Pass out candidates are eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

Yes you can join the NDA. But you can apply for the Indian Army wing only since you are a commerce student.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy.The Union of Public Service Commission(UPSC) conducts the entrance examination twice in a year NDA I and NDA II. Through the NDA examination admission is taken into 3 wings of defense:

1)Indian Army;
2)Indian Navy;
3)Indian Air Force.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1)AGE: The age of the candidates must be between 16.5 and 19 years.

2)NATIONALITY: The candidate must be a Indian.

3)SEX: The candidate must be male. Females are not allowed.

4)MARTIAL STATUS: The candidate must not be married until the training is over.

5)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 from any recognized board.
For Indian Army: 10+2 from any stream
For Navy/Air Force: 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics.

6)PHYSICAL STANDARD: the candidate must satisfy the physical standards of weight, height, sight and hearing.
Height:minimum 157cms;
Weight: standard with the height;
Sight: better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/9;
Hearing: good hearing sense.

N.D.A. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice.

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:-

> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

yes commerce student can join NDA .

commerce student can apply for NDA after 12th in the same as other students.

and if you are selected than you can apply for army only.

this is because commerce students have maths in their subjects.

and to join army wing only maths is needed.

for the other wings both physics and maths are needed that why they are not eligible for that.

this is the only difference that commerce students can only join army.

The Full Form Of NDA is National Defense Academy.

The National Defense Academy Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for those candidates who have the interest in joining the following wings of National Defense :

* Indian Army

* Indian navy

* Indian Air Force

Since , all the three wings mentioned above are different from each other yet the qualifications required to appear for the NDA Exam in order to join these wings are almost the same except the Indian Army.

The Minimum educational qualification required to appear for the NDA Examination if you want to join either Indian Navy or Indian Air Force is 12th with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from any recognized board.

On the Other the Minimum educational qualification required for the NDA Exam if you are willing to join the Indian Army is 12th in any stream from any recognized board.
