Yes definitely a candidate from middle class family can join Indian Navy or any other wings of defense to serve the country as the selection procedure for these are monitered by Central Government with the help of Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) and hence the whole selection procedure is free and fair totally dependent on the merit of candidates.

Basically to join Indian Navy you have to options with you. One is through National Defense Academy ( NDA ) and other through Combined Defense Services ( CDS ). For joining any of the above academy you will have to clear their respective entrance examination which are NDA examination and CDS examination respectively.

--> Both the examinations are conducted twice every year by UPSC in two stages which are called as Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively.

--> The qualifications required for appearing in the same examination for joining Indian Navy are as here under :-

* For both the examinations, you must have the nationality of India. But for * NDA examination you must be an unmarried male too.

* For both the examinations, you must be physically and mentally tough as per the service requirement norms,

Yes surely any one belonging to any economical class can join Indian Navy as the selection procedure is completely free and fair.
