I am 12 std with commerce background. I have chosen geography instead of mathematics, so do i have any chance of joining / applying for NDA? I love to work in Indian airforce in any department, can you please tell me regarding the qualification required.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. UPSC conducts entrance examination for recruitment in Defence service.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th or pursuing from a recognised board.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible.

Air Force and Navy - 12th with PCM as main paper.

Army - 12th from any discipline.

The entrance examination is conducted in two stages as written and SSB. So, you are not eligible for recruitment in Air Force.

No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination to join Indian Air Force, if you have passed your 12th standard with Commerce background. Only unmarried male candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a Government recognized board are eligible to apply for NDA examination for joining Indian Air Force. Since, you have passed your 12th standard with Commerce background from a Government recognized board, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination for joining Indian Air Force.
