IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Msc degree equivalent with wireless communication, electronics, radio physics or radio engineering are applicable for IES exam.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

Number of attempts for IES exam is

For general student it is 4.

And for OBC it is 7 times.

And for SC/ST it is 9 time

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

IES :- Indian Engineering Service Examination and this examination is conducted Once in year by Union Public Service Commission.

To appear for IES examination and then you need to complete your engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

Degree in :-

-Electrical Engineering
-Mechanical Engineering
-Civil Engineering
-Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

or equivalent degree from recognized Universities.

M.Sc degree in Wireless communication,Electronics,Radio Physics or Radio Engineering may also eligible to apply for Engineering Service examination.

You should have a minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination and relaxation is applicable for various reserved categories.

Those who are writing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for Engineering Service examination but pre-final year of degree course are not eligible to apply for Engineering examination.

-Date of Notification :- 25/02/12
-Last date for receipt of application :- 26/03/12
-Date of Written examination :- 15/06/12

From which date the IES entrance exam will be available?

Hi friend,

IES exam form will be dispatched from 25/02/2012 and last date is 26/03/2012.

You need to apply before that.

You can apply either online or offline.

Date of the examination is 25/06/2012.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. Every year UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts IES entrance test. This exam is designed for recruitment of Engineers in Government sector.

=> To eligible for this you should have completed(Final year student are also apply ) your Engineering degree from UGC recognized university/college. You must have completed your Engg. Degree in any of the following Branch as mentioned below-

• Computer Science & Engineering
  
• Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  
• Electrical Engineering
  
• Mechanical Engineering
  
• Civil Engineering

=> Your Age must be between 21 to 30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.



Date of Release of IES Application form 2012:
