Dear Friend

The upcoming Engineering Services Examination is to be conducted from 03.12.2011 onwards.

The notification for the exam pulished on 30.07.2011 in national dailies and
Employment News. It is also available on the official website of UPSC.

The last date to apply for the exam would be 29.08.2011(Till this date application
should reach the concerned office).

How much percentage is required for IES entrance exam?

All those who have passed the qualifying exam B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.(with mentioned specialization)
are eligible for the exam.
There is no restriction as per minimum marks in the qualifying exam.

The syllabus for the exam is mentioned in detail in the IES notification.

friend the ies exam is held once a year and consists of 2 stages written and interview.the written is held in the month of may every year and those declared qualified appear for the interview in the month of sep/oct.also no % criteria is required to sit for ies exam. also for more info including syllabus visit upsc.gov.in

hello dear

2011, Date of IES Exam has been over. the exam is conducted in the month of May,2011.

so you can appear in the IES Exam in the next year.

minimum 55% marks for IES Exam is essentially required for general candidate.

the age limit is 21-28 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAM

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

In order to appear in IES(Indian Engineering Services),you will require the following Eligibility:-

Educational Qualification:-

>>You must have a 4 year Engineering degree/Master degree from Recognized university.
>>Your degree should be approved from the AICTE/UGC.

Age:-

Total duration for this Exam will be 2 hours.
Total marks for this Exam will be 200.


Section II(Conventional Paper).

>>Engineering Paper(Related to your Engineering Branch) I.
Total duration for this Exam will be 3 hours.
Total marks for this Exam will be 200.

>>Engineering Paper(Related to your Engineering Branch) II.
Total duration for this Exam will be 3 hours.
Total marks for this Exam will be 200.


Date of Notification for This Exam - 16/03/2013.
Last Date of Receipt of Form - 15/04/2013.
Date of Exam - 28/06/2013.
