SIR,
I want to know details about IAS exams . what should i prefer? now I am in 3rd yr b.tech (mech) and what are schedule of the examination? |

IAS Exam i.e. Indian Administrative Exam:
To become IAS officer you need to complete your Graduation from a recognized university. Minimum qualification required to appear for IAS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.So complete your B.tech degree........ It is under Civil Service Exam conducted once in a Year by UPSC. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. How to apply: •Apply online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in •Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country. For complete details go to http://www.upsc.gov.in The application charge for male candidates is Rs. 100/- only. There is no application charge for female and SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates. All candidates, whether already in government service, government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications directly to the Commission. |

To become an IAS Officer you have appear and pass the Civil Services Exam
Civil Services Exams is conducted by UPSC every year to make recruitments to 24 services/posts. It is conducted in 3 stages that is 1.Prelims/CSAT Exam 2.Mains Exam 3.Interviews Educational Qualification to apply is : A Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University. Final year appeared/appearing candidates can also apply. Dear friend IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service.
The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages (preliminary, mains and interview) and is considered to be extremely challenging. The IAS officers are recruited by the Union government on the recommendation of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and posted under various State governments. Educational Qualification :- Candidate must have completed a Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University. Final year appeared/appearing candidates can also apply. Age Limit :- General Category candidate age limit is -21 to 30years. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidate. 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.
