Eligibility Criteria For B.Tech After Diploma.
If you are interested in B.Tech program then you can do it after diploma.
You can take admission in 2nd year of B.tech by lateral entry exam.
If you have 60% in the diploma then you are eligible for many lateral
entry entrance exam. Many college/University offer for this program.

ELIGIBILITY ::

Candidates shall have passed Diploma in Engineering and must have a minimum of 60%
marks for the Diploma.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST community a pass in the qualifying examination will be sufficient.

Those who are appearing for the final year Diploma will be eligible to apply subject to the
condition that they will produce the mark list at the time of conselling.

Maximum age will be 28 years.

Candidates will be admitted only to the branch of Engineering as per the equivalency

you can easily do b tech after diploma.you have to give entrance for admissio in second year of btech .this exam is only for those students who have done polytechnic diploma and after qualify this exam you can get admission in b tech.

Yes you can take admission for B.E with the branch of your interest...actually the course of B.E/B.Tech is generally of four year but if some one want to take admission in B.E/B.Tech after his diploma in engineering then he will be directly admitted in second year (or 3rd semester).

For geetting admitted in B.E/B.Tech there is different criteria for different state after diploma course. but most of the colleges give option to select the branch of his choice..

For IIT , it doesn't have any LATERAL entry facility but AIEEE colleges has...LATERAL ENTRY FACILITY..

As you said that you are doing diploma course then you are eligible for doing B.Tech after diploma.

For this you should fill the form of lateral entery exam which is offered only for diploma holder and after completing this you will be enter in B.Tech 2nd year of your course.

Hiiiii,

Eligibility for B.Tech after Diploma are as follows: -

1. Pass Diploma or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engg. or Mechanical Engg. or aeronautical engineering or Computer Science Engg. or Chemical Engg. or Electrical Engg. with a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks from a recognized Institute / University.

2. Nationality - Indian

3. Age - 18 Years to 27 Years for General candidates, 18 Years to 30 Years for OBC candidates and 18 Years to 33 Years for SC / ST candidates.

NOTE: - A candidates appearing in the final year can also apply.

After Diploma you can get direct admission in 3rd semester (2nd Year) and regarding admission you will be meet directly to the Director / Principal of the College.

After completing the diploma there is facility of B.E/B.TECH lateral entry in the 3 semester of the enggineering colleges that provide this facility of lateral entry.

where IIT does'nt have lateral entry facility and, through aieee admission there is facility of lateral entry in NIT colleges.

• Age should be 18 to 25 years

Once you qualify in that exam,you can get admission in engineering college,according to your rank in the entrance exam.

You will be directly continuing your engineering course from 3rd semester onward i.e 2nd year

No percentage is not required for the entrance,but candidate should have passing percentage to get admission.

Just apply for government counselling and get good engineering college. If your mark is low join as a management student.

for this you should have noo back papers in diploma. you have 60% marks in diploma.
if you fight the exam for b.tech then you can take admission in 2nd year directly.

You are eligible to go for B.Tech after Diploma. The minimum requirement is that you should have scored more than 60% for your diploma. You will be able to join in the second year of engineering. This is called lateral entry. There will be an entrance examinations conducted either by the college or the university.

diploma should be of 60 pect. marks for pretigious colleges.............and colleges under councelling of leet..........

yes diploma in engineering candidates are eligible for 1st year of B.Tech. but to take admission in First year of B.Tech you have to appear in various engineering entrance examination like AIEEE, IIT JEE and other state level engineering entrance examination. if you are able to clear any one of this engineering entrance examination then you will be able to take admission in first year of engineering.

if you clear IIT JEE then you will be able to take admission in first year of engineering in IIT. but when you will apply for these engineering entrance examination you have to fulfill age eligibility criterion and other eligibility criterion.

after diploma in engineering sometime called polytechnic there is scheme for direct admission in second year of B.Tech. you may try for this. you have to appear in lateral entry entrance examination to take admission directly in second year. it will save your one year. so you may try for it.

definately it is possiable to do btech after diploma.through entrance exam you are allow to enter directly 2nd year in the b.tech.for getting the chance in btech you have to qualify JELET exam.

you can also do AMIE course.which is correspondance course but equivalent to btech.

The following department are available for persuing B.Tech after diploma are:

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering
Computer Science & Engineering
Information Technology
Electronics & Electrical Engineering

to do B.Tech after Diploma you need only a Diploma degree.

after having the degree of Diploma, you have to give a exam which is JELET. through JELET exam you can do B.Tech after Diploma.

there is no age limit for JELET exam.

you can attempt the all india level entrance exams like IITJEE or AIEEE.
TO APPEAR IN THESE EXAMS YOU MUST SECURE 60% AGGREGATE IN THE 3RD YEAR OF THE DIPLOMA.
after the 3rd year of diploma you can then attempt for the iitjee or the aieee.
by giving these exams you can be able to get admission in the institutes offering B.TECH course.

After completing diploma in engineering in a trade you can go for B.Tech in 2nd year through lateral entry in that particular trade. You can do it part time, full time and correspondence mode. You must have 60% in aggregate and cleared the entrance exam for lateral entry in that university.
Some of the universities are :-
1) full time mode - Indrprastha univesity
2) part time mode- Delhi technological university
3) correspondence mode- IGNOU, AMIE

after doing ur diploma u can directly do B. TECH in second year.
but some criteria for getting admissions differs from state to state..
in some state for getting admitted some cut of percentages are provided and in some states some kind of admission test are conducted...
they also differ by the college... which you are joining...
