Re: Which exam can I answer after MSc?
First thing which I would like to let you know is that to be a lecturer/assistant professor in an UGC approved university you need to qualify either NET(National Eligibility Test) held by CBSE or SET(State Eligibility Test) held by concerned state board of education.
Further for appearing in these examinations for the post of assistant professor you need to have either completed your Master's degree or pursuing final year of same in that subject which you are going to opt for appearing NET with at least 55% from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST or PWD category. So being a student of M.Sc. in Statistics you are eligible for appearing in NET/SET ( with specialisation in Population studies ) if you manage to secure 55% marks ( or 50% if you belong to reserved category ) in your master degree course. |
