Hi friends, im doing 1st year engineering, computer science department. I would like to join in army after finishing my BE.degree...i need to know about the exams fr selection, what i want to do for it??? explain me.

anyways coming to your question. The Indian Army promises the career growth both in personal and profession.

The adventure and extra-curricular activities in the Army ensure an all round development essential in today's world.

It is considered as the most important part of defence of our country.

Army is responsible for ground operations

Coming to the opportunity of getting into it comes every two year in the names of CDS(Combined Defense Services) this exam is for the candidates who have completed their graduation

this exam is conducted by UPSC

This test or entrance is known for its rigor in all its stages like

written test

physical test

group test

personal interviews

and importantly medical tests

you have to cross all these hurdles which are minor in front of your desire

You are from maths stream and you had chance to get appear in NDA conducted by UPSC.
Although if you have missed that you have another chance in the form of CDS (combined defence services). Exam conducted by UPSC twice in a year, CDS 1st in mid february and CDS 2nd in the month of september.
Via CDS you can opt one among the three disciplene- army, navy or air force.
*Age limit-19-23yr.

To join Army you need to complete your graduation first.

After completing your graduation, every year Indian Army publishes its vacancy schedule in Employment Newspaper and other national dailies.

Army conducts SSB i.e service selection board examination.

To join army you have to clear this exam.

The examination includes Intelligence test, Psychological tests, group training activities, physical activities and medical examination.


Eligibility Criteria is:

1. Age- 19 to 24 years

2. Educational qualification- Graduation from any discpline from a recognised university.

3. Gender- both male and female candidates can apply

4. Nationality- Indian

5. Marital Status- Unmarried.
