How to join Indian navy? Actually i am 17 years old studying in 10th CBSE school. It happened because of late admission, so please help me with this mess.

No, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy as an Officer after 10th educational qualification.

The candidates have to appear and qualify in NDA entrance examination for final selection in Navy. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years and must have PCM as main paper in 10+2.

One can apply for Indian Navy through entrance NDA. 10th pass candidates can't apply for NDA. So,You are not eligible to apply for Indian Navy. You should have passed 12th in science stream to apply for Indian Navy through NDA.

NDA Eligibility
- You should be unmarried male.
- You should have passed (10+2) in science stream with physics & maths as a compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
- Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years of the examination year.
- You must be physically fit.

NDA Exam Pattern

Paper I
- Maths : 300 Marks , 2.5 Hours

Paper II
- General Ability : 600 Marks , 2.5 Hours
It consist two parts namely English (200 Marks) & General Knowledge (400 Marks)

- Commencement of Online Application : 18.06.2016
- Last Date of Online Application : 15.07.2016
- NDA Exam : 18.09.2016
- NDA Result Declaration : November , 2016
- Call Letter for SSB Interview : January , 2017
- Declaration of Final Merit List : June , 2016

Sorry, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy.

The eligibility to appear for entrance examination to qualify for Indian Navy is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or pursuing from recognised board. Candidate must have PCM as main paper. The candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

So, you can appear for examination after 10+2 and after qualifying in examination eligible for final recruitment in jobs.

Being a Class 10th passed candidate and 17 years old, you are eligible for your recruitment at non commissioned posts like MR Cook, MR Sports, NMR and Musician.

For your recruitment at these posts depending upon the vacancies which is published in advertisement papers like Rozgar Samachar, Employment News or the link www.joinindiannavy.gov.in you must have the following qualifications :-

* You must have the nationality of India.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have passed your class 10th with any subjects from a recognized board.

You can join Indian navy after passing 12th through NDA exam and after graduation through CDS exam. Both the exams are conducted by UPSC in order to make recruitment in different wings of Indian Defense Services.

-The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

-Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam.

-The qualification required is 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy.

-The selection process involves written examination followed by personal interview by Service Selection Board.

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards required to join NDA.

Eligibility criteria required to join Indian Navy through CDS Exam :-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The qualification required for Indian Naval Academy is Bachelor of Engineering.

-The age limit to apply for the Indian Naval Academy is 19 years to 22 years.

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards for admission to CDS exam.

-The selection process involves written examination followed by personal interview by Service Selection Board.

You are not eligible for Indian Navy after 10th , you must have to do 10+2 in science stream with Maths and after that you can apply for NDA entrance exam to join Indian Navy.
