Re: Procedure to join Indian Navy for 7 years old 2nd standard student?
No, 7 years old candidate is not eligible to join in Indian Navy. The minimum age required to join in Indian Navy is 16 1/2 years. To join in Indian Navy, the candidate must have to appear in NDA examination by satisfying the eligibility criteria mentioned below :-
1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a recognised board. 3. You must be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years old. 4. You must be an unmarried male candidate. 5. You must be physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification. Since, your son is pursuing 2nd standard right now, he is not eligible to join in Indian Navy. Once he completes his 12th standard from a recognised board, he is eligible to appear in NDA examination and by qualifying the NDA examination, he can join in Indian Navy. |

Quote:
The procedure for joining a 7 years old in Indian Navy is not possible as it way too early for joining in Indian Navy. It doesn't imply that your son cannot join, but not at this stage. He should continue his studies and then apply for the entrance exam to join in Indian Navy as it the procedure. A candidate can join in Indian Navy with the minimum qualification and the qualification needed is listed below: # The candidate should have a Citizenship in India # Age limit needed is 16 1/2-19 years of age. # Candidate should be a unmarried male candidate. # Education qualification needed is candidate should have completed +2 from a recognized school board of education with physics and mathematics as subjects. # Apart from all these, candidate need to be physically fit. If the candidate satisfies all these above mentioned criteria, then he is eligible for applying for the entrance exam and the exam is NDA Exam. This exam is being conducted by UPSC every year for candidates to join in defence forces of India. For more info check at http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Your child would be eligible for Navy after completion of class 12.
Your child needs to take Physics Chemistry Maths at 11th and pass in those subjects. After that he would be eligible for NDA-NA exam conducted by UPSC. NDA stands for National Defense Academy and NA for Naval Academy. The basic eligibility required for NDA-NA is 12th pass or appearing and age limit 16.5-19 years. NDA is for Army and all candidates passing 12th are eligible but For Navy and Air force, Physics Mathematics in 12th is compulsory. |
