How to make Income tax officer....pleaes tell me how can I become one

Income tax officer exam is conducted by the SSC(Staff Selection Commission) once in a year.

To join as an income tax officer you need to appear the CGPE(Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam).

The basic eligibility and age limits is mentioned below.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation or equivalent in any stream from a recognised university.

Final year appearing candidates should also be eligible.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.


Age criteria:

For general categories 18 years to 27 years,

For OBC candidates 18years to 30 years,

For SC/ST candidates 18 years to 32 years.

Selection process:

Preliminary exam,

Mains exam,

Interview.

You need to write Staff Selection Commission(SSC) exam. For the being an Income tax officer you should be a graduate. The age limit is 18-27 yrs. Hope this helps
