How to become an IPS officer after doing BCA with 60% marks
Hello sir/madam .i have done bca with 60% marks.i want to become an i.p.s officer what should i do know plz suggest.

You have adequate educational qualification to apply. Your age must be less than 30 years. In order to join as IPS Officer, you need to qualify the selection procedures conducted by UPSC. Selection will be done through preliminary and mains exam. So first of all you must submit application for preliminary exam through the web portal of UPSC. Those who can get through preliminary exam will be selected for mains.

IPS(Indian Police Service) exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
Minimum Qualification Candidate should be Graduate from recognized university. (no percentage is required just passing marks are enough) Number of Attempt General - 4 attempt OBC - 7 Attempt SC/ST - No limit on number of attempt Age Limit General - 21 to 30 yrs OBC - 21 to 33 yrs SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs Physical Standard Candidate should be physically fit IPS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT Height For Men : 165 cm(AROUND) For Women :150 cm(AROUND) OBC /SC/ST : Male - 160 cm and Female :145 cm Chest male candidates is ---84 (+ 5cm). female candidates---- 79cm(+ 5cm). You can appear for it in next year as Online Applications for IPS Exam is over now. And, on 26 May 2013, Civil Services Exam will be commenced. As you have done BCA (Under graduation) with 60% marks, so you can apply for Civil Services Exam.
