How to become an IPS officer? I am studying BCA


I'm studying bca now presently in second year have just cleared foundation of company secratory exam . Want to become an ips officer what stepa should i take from now. Please help

To become a member of the Indian Police Service, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized university.
  • You should be no less than 21 years.
  • You should be no more than 30 let.The maximum age limit is 33 years for OBC category candidates and 35 years for SC / ST category.

So, in order to become eligible, you either need to complete your Bachelor of Computer Application or complete the Professional Program along with the necessary management training of Company Secretary course.

The Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and the three stages of this examination are as follows:

Preliminary Exam
Main Exam
Interview

The Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination are written tests and qualifying Preliminary Exam is mandatory to be considered eligible for the Main Exam. Once you qualify all the stages, you will be considered for the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Hi,

The exam for IPS ( Indian Police Service ) is conducted by UPSC- Union Public service commission.

First of all you will have to complete graduation to appear for CSAT exam.

Eligibility criteria for CSAT-

1. Candidate should be of Indian origin.

2- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

3- Age - 21-30 years.

There are three stages of this exam -

1- Preliminary exam
2- Main exam
3- Interview

> PRELIMS EXAM

To become an IPS officer you need to fulfill the eligiblity criteria and it is as follows:

1.The candidate holds graduation degree in any stream from recognized university.

2.Age limits are as follows:

1.for general 21-30 yrs
2.for obc 21-33 yrs
3.for sc/st 21-35 yrs

For its preparation here are some tips:

1.Read newspaper daily.
2.Prepare aptitude from RS aggarwal.
3.Read some good gk books
4.Read ncert books from class 6th till 10th etc....

These are few general tips you need lot more to do...

The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services.

IPS examination is a civil services examination, which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The selection procedure for the IPS examination is mentioned as below:-

* Preliminary examination.

* Mains examination.

* Personnel interview.

The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognized college or university.

* Final year contenders are also eligible.

* Age limit:- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders.

* Nationality:- Indian.

* No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service

BCA graduates are eligible for IPS, but first crack the Civil Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service for IAS/IPS

i can give you more information about Civil Examination

Civil Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones,

For this Civil Examination some eligibility are there

if you satisfy these all eligibility then you are eligible for civil examination

Final years graduation degree students also eligible for this exam....

IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.So after completing your BCA degree you can apply for IPS exam........


Age Limit for IPS exam:
General - 21 to 30 yrs
OBC - 21 to 33 yrs
SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs
Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs
Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs

Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

How to Apply
• Register on http://www.upsconline.nic.in (Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website)
• The application charge for male candidates is Rs. 100/- only. There is no application charge for female and SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates.
• All candidates, whether already in government service, government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications directly to the Commission.
