How can I become a good IPS officer after passing B.Tech?

You can go for IPS exam.
Minimum education criteria = Graduate also Candidates appearing for Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination. You need to best in examination for that you should know the syllabus.. UPSC pattern is changed and it is called as CSAT which is coming into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011.and so there is no option subjects... It consits of two paper and each paper of Two hrs.. (Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of
It is of purely objective type and qualifying exam... (Paper II) (200 marks)
It is of purely subjective type and followed by interview.... Based on the overall ranking and your choice of cadre, you will be provided IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IAS or IPS. The higher your rank, the choice is with you. In case you have not not got a good rank and got into IFS, IAS or IPS, you may still become a Group A or B officer in the Central Govt. |

IPS Officer Eligibility
Yes are eligible and you can apply for IPS. this exam conduct by the UPSC in every year. every aspirent who want to prepration for IPS should complete the eligibility criteria, Physical eligibility also of the exam. Qualification:- basic eligibility to appear in the IPS exam is to have graduation degree from any discipline. Age limit:- The age of the candidate must be above 21 years of age while appearing the preliminary exam. The age of the candidate must not be more than 30 years (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs). Physical Eligibility :- Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women. minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for SC/ST. Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women. After qualify prilims exam(objective type) candidtes will have to qualify main exam. The main exam consists of 5 papers. Paper I & II - Language papers. Paper III - Essay (200 marks). Paper IV & V - General studies (300 marks/each). Paper VI,VII,VIII,IX - Are optional subjects (1200 marks) Paper I & II are the qualifying papers and marks are not alloted for these papers. At first the candidate must be pass the IPS Civil service Exam. After this candidates must also pass in the physical test and also the interview. |

History Geography Indian Polity and governance Economic and social development and General science. It is of purely objective type and qualifying exam... (Paper II) (200 marks) Comprehension Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability Basic numeracy(Class X level) English language comprehension skills (Class X level) It is of purely subjective type and followed by interview.... Based on the overall ranking and your choice of cadre, you will be provided IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IAS or IPS. The higher your rank, the choice is with you.good luck |

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.
Yes, B.TECH student are eligible for IPS exam .If you have completed your graduation in B.TECH from a recognized university. Those candiadte have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam. But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candiadte is 3years and for SC/ST candiadte is 5 years. Also you must be citizen of india. At first you must complete your graduation and sit for Civil Service Examination which is organized by UPSC.
Criteria for CSE : 1.you must be graduate. 2.your age should lie within 21 years to 30 years. Procedure of CSE examination : you have to face an examination which consists of total 400 marks in two parts.The first part will consist subjective question and 2nd part will consists general english and comprehention. |

To serve Indian Police Service you have to pass Civil service Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year .This is conducted in three stages namely Prelim.,Main Examination and then Interview.
Eligibility criteria for Civil sevice Examination is Educational Qualification : You should have done Graduation in Any course from recognized university or college . Ageshould be between 21 -30 years Relaxation given in Age for following Categories : OBC : 3 years SC/ST: 5 years Ex-Service Men : 5 years Number of Attempts allowed: General : 4 attempts OBCs : 7 attempts SCs/STs: No limit Physical Standard Indian Police Services are divided into technical and non-technical. Technical services : IRTS, IPS, DANI PS, CISF, RPF & other Police organization. Height: Pahari & general Male: 165 cm ST male : 160 cm Pahari Female & general too : 150 cm ST : 145 cm Chest : Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. No case of color or night blindness . Stammering is not allowed . Good Luck!! |

IPS stands for Indian Police Services To become an IPS you have to appear for the civil services exam conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criteria for the IPS exam : A candidate should be the citizen of India . A candidate should be 21 to 30 years of age for General category . The age relaxation criteria is applicable for other categories as per the government rules .
