You are eligible for the State Bank of India PO entrance exam. The requirement here only is graduation degree. Please remember that the marks in 12th standard are not considered. Even the marks in graduation are not considered.

However this could very well change. The government has recommended percentage criteria for the Bank PO entrance exams. The Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) has accepted the recommendation and implemented it for this year's exam.

While the State Bank of India did not implement that in this year. However it is expected to do in the coming years. But you do not need to worry because even with the percentage criteria, you will be eligible for the Banking exam.

State Bank of India is the largest bank in the country. It is perhaps the only PSU bank that conducts its own entrance exam. Most of the other banks rely on the Institute of Banking Personnel Services to do so.

SBI Bank PO Eligibility

1. Candidate should be Indian national.

2. Bachelor's degree from a recognized college.

3. There is no marks criteria.

4. Must have Certificate in Computer Operations.

5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for the exam.

6. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

7. While there is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

8. PWD get 10 years relaxation.

In addition to the SBI Bank PO you can also appear for the IBPS Bank PO. Most of the criteria remains the same apart from the age limit and percentage criteria. The age limit for general candidates is 20 to 28 years for the IBPS Bank PO.

While you must have 60 percent marks in graduation to apply for the IBPS Bank PO. Therefore if interested you can apply for the IBPS Bank PO which is going to take place in October.
