Re: How can I become an IAS officer after completing 12th?
To be come an IAS(Indian Administrative Service) officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year after Graduation Degree.
Eligibility for IAS, Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian national. -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through two phases of written exams followed by Personal Interview. The candidate applying for Civil Service Exam is called for a preliminary exam also called as CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) and the candidate selected out of it is allowed to sit for the Civil Service Main Exam and the final selection is conducted through Personal Interview out of candidate selected from Main Exam. Re: How can I become an IAS officer after completing 12th?
Indian Administrative Service officer are selected through Civil Services Examination. Therefore you will have to clear it. However it is not possible for you to do as for now.
You will have to first clear graduation and then apply for the Civil Services Examination as the basic qualification requirement is graduation. You should better know that Civil Services Examination is not easy to crack. With more than 5 Lakh candidates appearing for merely 500+ seats, the competition is bound to get extremely difficult. So better prepare well in advance. A couple of months of preparation may not be sufficient enough to crack the exam. You should prepare for 8 to 10 months to have any chance of clearing this entrance exam. Eligibility 1. Your nationality should be Indian to appear for Civil Services Examination. 2. As mentioned above, graduation degree is required. 3. There is no percentage criteria for the exam. 4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for General students. 5. The age limit is 21 to 33 years for OBCs. 6. It is further relaxed to 21 to 35 years for SC and ST. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam First you will be called to give preliminary exam in May. There are two written tests. The marks will not be added to final tally. It is also to appear for Main Examiniation. 2. Main Exam 9 written tests that will seal your fate. If performed well you will get selected, else you will have to try again. 3. Personal Interview |
