HI FRIEND
## The physical standards required to apply for IPS OFFICERS(civil services examination) POST is
~>165 cm height for men and 150 cm height for women & 5 cm height relaxation for SC/ST candidates
~>85 cm chest on expansion for men & there is no such requirement for women
~>Eyesight should be 6/6 or 6/9 in good eye, 6/12 in worst eye for distant vision & 0.6 in good eye, 0.8 in worst eye for near vision
## And the minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS EXAM is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university
## Age limit to apply for IPS EXAMINATION is
~>21-30 years for General category candidates
~>21-33 years for OBC candidates
~>21-35 years for SC/ST candidates
## The number of attempts allowed for IPS exam are
~>4 times for General category
~>7 times for OBC category
~>no limit for SC/ST category candidates

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year after Graduation Degree.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness, can apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam.

The selection is through three phases:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test also called as Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

Apart from this the aspiring candidate for IPS, should have possessed minimum prescribed Physical requirement.

The CHEST of the Male candidate should be 84cm while that of Female should be 79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

Regarding HEIGHT of General/OBC Male candidate should be 165cm and that of Female should be 450cm while SC/ST Male candidate should be 160cm and that of Female candidate should be 145cm.

Indian Police Service exam is conducted through UPSC for this the candidates have to appear Civil Service Exam , There are certain eligibility criteria which are as follows.


Educational Qualifications:

Any Graduate with minimum pass marks from recognized University can eligible to apply for this exam, The final year candidates those who are interested can also apply for this exam.

Height:
-------
A Male Candidate must have minimum 165cm for General Category candidate

A Female Candidate must have minimum 150cm fir General Category Candidate

For SC/ST/OBC Male Candidate require minimum height 160cm and Female candidate require minimum height is 1405cm

Chest:
------
Male Candidate require 84 cm,Expandable chest is 89cm
Female Candidate require 79cm and Expandable chest is 84cm

Age Limits:
------------
The age limit is 21- 30 years.
For SC/ST candidates-21-35Years
OBC candidates-21-33Years.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS exam stands for Indian police service which is conducted by UPSC.
There is no percentage requirement.

Eligibility

Age limit between 21 to 30 years.

Age Relation for OBC Candidates 3 years

Age Relation for SC/ST Candidates 5 years

The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.

You must be a citizen of India

Four attempts for general,

Seven for OBCs and

No limit for SC/ST

Physical Standard

Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm

Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye

Exam Pattern

Paper I: Language Exam

Paper II: General English

Paper III: Essay

Paper IV and V: General Studies

Paper VI, VII, VIII and IX: Optional Subjects
