No, one can get admission in IIM's without Cracking CAT Examination because IIMS' considered CAT exam score while giving admission to the candidates in MBA Course.

So if you are interested to take admission in IIM's then please apply for the CAT Examination. For this year CAT Examination Notification was already Published and those who have completed graduation or pursuing graduation are eligible for CAT Examination.

Only final year candidates are eligible for CAT Examination. Selection process consists of a written examination called the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview, Those who cracked the written test will be called by IIM's to appear for the Interview.

You need good preparation to cracked the CAT Entrance examination. If you not study by yourself then its better to join best CAT Coaching Institutes.

To Join IIM's only then way is to cracked the CAT Examination with good percentile.

The last date of registration of CAT Examination is 19/Sep/2012

There is no way you can study in any one of the IIM's until and unless you sit for the CAT Examination as the CAT exam is like the ticket to the IIM's. CAT which is one of the most popular MBA Entrance Exam is also conducted by the IIM.

The examination is conducted online. Generally the exam is conducted in the month of October-November and they uses a 3-4 weeks window to conduct this exam. CAT score will be accepted by only autonomous institutes like IIM but not by any other university.

Eligibility:-

1. You need to complete graduation in any discipline of your choice first.

2. It is important to secure 50% of marks in aggregate to be considered eligible.

3. Reserved category candidates needs to get 45% of marks at graduation level.

4. This exam can also be given by the final year students also.

5. There is no age limit to appear for this examination.

This year's notification for CAT exam is already out. This year the exam is going to take place between Oct 16 - Nov 11, 2013. You will have to choose the date and time depending on the availability. The results are expected to come out some time in January 2014.
