How can I write IAS exam while in final year B.E?

You can appear for this exam provided you complete B.E. by the time the prelims results are declared. Also you should be over 21 years to apply. The application form for this exam will be available from 4th February. Last date to submit is 5th March. The prelims are scheduled for 20th May. If you clear the same then you need to appear for the mains on 5th October.

You can appear for IAS Exam even you are being a candidate of pursuing final year BE. But if you qualify for the main examination, you should be able to show the proof that you have passed BE along with the application for Main Examiation.
The selection procedure for IAS will be as follows -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years by the 1st August of the year in which the candidate is taking IAS Exam. -Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC and 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. Number of attempts: -For the candidates of General category, the maximum number of attempts are 4. -For OBC candidates, the maximum number of attempts are 7 and for the candidates of SC/ST, there is no limit on the number of attempts for IAS Exam. So, you can appear for CSAT Exam as you are pursuing fianl year of BE. Have good preparation to the exam and crack the exam. |

yes, you are eligible for IAS exam while in final year B.E. the eligibility criteria for IAS exam is >>Nationality candidate must be a citizen of India. >>Age Limits: 21-30 years for general candidate. >>Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by AICTE/UGC. The selection procedure for IAS is as follows: 1. Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2. Civil Services Main Exam 3. Interview Eligibility criteria:- 1. You must be a graduate or you must be in the final year of your studies from a recognized board/university. 2.Your age should be within 21-30 years. 3. For the candidates of General category, the maximum number of attempts are 4. Therefore you are very much eligible. All the best. |

You can write the IAS exam only after completed your bachelor's degree as the eligibility for the same is as under-
1. Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification. 2. The age must be between 21-30 years (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories). You can apply for IAS examination after completing B.E or when you are in final year.
