How to get a good job after B.E(ECE) with 63.3% marks? Should i try GATE again?
I'm about to complete my BE. I am puzzled what should I do next to manage to get settled into a good firm.I've been an average scorer till now with an average of 63.3%.I did not make it to manage to secure for a score card in GATE 2011.so tell me if I should make preparation for GATE again or try something else.I'm taking exams of public sector.My branch is EC

hey your % is a bit low but still u can try for some BPO and IT companies..and for GATE if u want to do M.Tech write...all d best..

It's a low percentage. even big I.T companies like tcs, infosys, wipro, cts searching candidates from 60%. so if you work hard for atleast 3 months you can get into these giant mnc's
For govt and psu's minimum percentage will be 55 or 60. so you can even get into these. Best of luck. |

Well,I am happy the response I received from U people.I further hope that any such job opportunities that I could try my hands on to fetch a successful career would be mailed tome in detail so as not to regret for future course of status of mine.

you must increase you personal development to get good job and also must have basic knowledge of electronics and communication.

i ma student of 3rd sem ece branch.........wanna get into ntpc which had started following gate exam...............so plz help me out how should i prepare for gate exam now onwards and is it possible to crack gate without coaching on my self basis at one shot..............plzzzzz do give your views

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ->This time the GATE is on Feb'12th 2012. ->You need to apply for it before you write the GATE. ->Application forms are going to be available from 12th sept'2011. ->You have to apply only through ONLINE. ->The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD candidates. ->Gate will be conducted in two types: -OFFLINE -ONLINE ->GATE papers are fully objective type. ->It consists of 65 questions with negative marking and you will be having 3hrs.duration. Eligibility for GATE: # Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) # Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. # Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology. # Second and third year MCA students are eligible for GATE. # First and Second year MSc students are eligible for GATE. You need to decide what you want to do and with interest ...
and if you decide to go with GATE only then remember following for Gate as there is no age limit and no number of attempts defined in GATE exam.. and also there is no minimum percentage criteria , else you can try for a private job also either in software or BPO but should be of your interest.... |

Hey! I am now pursuing my btch final yr. I hav got an aggrepate of 65 til date! I hav got a realy bad technical knowlege but i am pretty good at mah soft skills. Is there a chance of getting into a mnc???
